Our inspections are designed to reduce risk, minimize downtime, and provide actionable insight throughout the full wind turbine lifecycle.

Wind Turbine Inspection Services
We provide comprehensive, high-resolution inspections covering all critical turbine components:
Visual Blade Inspections Inspection of exterior blade surfaces and internal structures using:
- High-resolution optical zoom imaging Radiometric thermal imaging
- LIDAR scanning
These techniques enable the detection of: Surface defects and erosion Delamination and bond line issues Moisture ingress Lightning strike indications Early-stage material degradation
Lightning Protection System (LPS) Inspections
DAW Windturbine Inspections performs dedicated inspections of the Lightning Protection System, a critical safety and asset-protection component of modern wind turbines.
Our LPS inspections include:
- Visual and high-resolution inspection of receptor condition and continuity paths Detection of lightning strike damage and burn marks Verification of conductor routing and attachment points
- Thermal analysis to identify hidden damage or compromised connections Assessment of potential secondary damage to blade structure caused by lightning events
- The inspection results support compliance verification, failure prevention, and informed maintenance planning, reducing the risk of catastrophic blade damage and unplanned outages
Droones Aerial Works supports clients as well as their customers across various areas. We are increasingly engaged in tasks ranging from data collection and analysis to consultancy for offshore projects. Our versatile expertise ensures that we meet diverse needs in the industry effectively.
Meer wetenDroones Aerial Works started working with TOPseven's Lightning Protection Measurement System Three Components. One Inspection Sequence. BEAT is designed around a single operational logic: mount, calibrate, fly, measure, review. Three Signal Generators inject the test signal at the blade roots. The drone-mounted Field Sensor handles calibration, measurement, and communication during flight. The onboard calibration camera eliminates the need for a separate calibration flight — reducing setup time and getting teams into the inspection sooner.
Meer wetenDroones Aerial Works is once again in possession of the GWO Basic Offshore training certificates for the next two years, enabling us to perform blade inspections both onshore and offshore. The components of the training—Working at Heights, Sea Survival, Boat Transfer, First Aid, and Fire Fighting—allow us to carry out operations safely and in accordance with international standards.
