Yearly wind turbine inspections by drone

One blade and LPS inspection per turbine, every year, flown the same way. You see how each defect develops and plan maintenance before it gets expensive.

Why every year

Damage grows between inspections

Leading edge erosion, cracks and lightning damage rarely appear overnight. They start small and grow with every season of rain, ice and wind. Found early, a repair takes hours. Found late, it can mean a blade off the turbine and weeks of lost production.

With a yearly routine inspection every turbine is checked at the same moment each year, blade and LPS in one rotor stop. Because we store the flight geometry, the images of this year line up with those of last year. You see exactly which defects are growing, which are stable and where to spend your maintenance budget first.

Planned around your park

We agree the inspection moment with you each year, around your production, maintenance and the weather.

Comparable year on year

The same flight route every year, so you compare the same spot on the same blade.

Blade and LPS in one stop

Both inspections in one rotor stop of about 40 minutes per turbine. No service team needed on site.

Our process

How we work

From the first scan to the final report, you deal with one crew and one way of working.

Wind park seen from the air before an inspection

Step 1

Quick scan

We check the park, the surrounding airspace and the risks before a date is agreed. You get a go or no-go up front, not a surprise on the day.

Step 2

Automated flight

The rotor is stopped once and both inspections are flown in the same window, around 40 minutes per turbine. LiDAR recognises the blade, holds the distance and logs the exact position of every frame.

Step 3

Report

Every defect located, sized and placed in one of five severity classes. You view the photos and findings in your own online portal and plan repairs on facts.

Questions

Frequently asked

Damage such as leading edge erosion and cracks grows with every season. A yearly inspection catches it while repairs are still small, and gives you a complete record of the condition of every turbine.

A full inspection of all four sides of every blade and, if you want, a contactless LPS measurement in the same rotor stop. You receive a report per turbine and access to our online portal.

Yes. We store the flight geometry and fly the same route every year, so the images line up. In the portal you compare the findings per blade over the years.

Many insurers and certifiers ask for regular inspections, so check what your policy requires. Our reports document the condition of every blade with photos, positions and severity classes.
